Line Work for New Stained Glass: Edisto Island Church

Multitudes of heads and limbs are at the beginning stages of stained glass painting for a new hand-crafted window. The windows will feature different Christ water miracles, tying together the water theme for St. Frederick & St. Stephen Catholic Church, a new church in Charleston, SC.

Here is a look at the most recent developments of our custom stained glass window for clients in Edisto Island, SC. Descriptive linework and subtle shading allow for the color and texture of the glass to be more present. We are using cathedral glass, water glass, and slightly opaque glass (opalescent) which is used for Christ’s tunic.

This unique design also features fused glass, allowing for long bands of red, white, and blue without the interruption of lead between the colors.

Anticipation grows for the completion of two custom stained glass rose windows for a church in Edisto Island, South Carolina. Water glass is being used to complement the water theme for the church. In addition to the jewel-like colors, light transmission through water glass creates a pattern similar to light shining through softly undulating waves.
