The Scottish Rite Temple in Peoria, IL dating to 1924 has a new protective covering for its compound gothic window that accentuates its unique architectural features plus stained glass restoration. It has Bovard Studio’s US Patented 1400 Vented Precision Flow® Perimeter Framing System to protect the stained glass for years to come.

 

Whimsical Stained Glass Restoration Transformation

Stained glass windows for Kountze Memorial continue their restoration transformation. Here is a beautiful panel featuring a winged Ox, a symbol of one of the Four Evangelists: Luke. The animal symbols of the Four Evangelists are referred to as the Tetramorph, which can be found in sacred texts and stained glass windows like these.

Tiffany Windows Reborn at Bovard Studio

Bovard Studio has a track record of restoring historical Tiffany windows, so it came naturally to create a window from scratch to emulate one of Tiffany’s angel windows. This window was custom-designed, built, and installed for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, VA.

Bovard Hires Excellence in Stained Glass

Bovard Studio welcomes a Production Assistant with extensive experience in stained glass— Alesha Hall hailing from New York. Alesha has explored many art mediums and spent time as an educator in art history, graphic design, and photography. She dabbled in painting, illustration, ceramics, and metalworking, but nothing compares to the engrossing challenges and sense of accomplishment she finds in the medium of stained glass. Alesha enjoys the rich history embedded in stained glass and joins the ranks of many dedicated to preserving this wondrous art form. Restoring Stained Glass at St. Mark's

We restored the stained glass windows at this historic and beautiful church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We designed, fabricated, and installed our 1400 Series Precision Flow® ventilated protective exterior glazing system for all of their stained glass windows. Nine complex stained glass windows were fully restored [re-leaded] to prolong the life time of their prized and valuable stained glass heritage.

Uncovering Stained Glass Splendor with New Protective Covering

The before and after photos at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE show how old window coverings can yellow over time, obscuring the brilliance of the stained glass. We installed our 1400 Series frames on 80 windows, transforming the quality of the exterior and interior experience of these beautiful windows. In addition, we built a new leaded stained glass rose window and frame to complement style of existing windows.

Painting Custom Windows for Danville, CA

Our artists are hard at work painting pieces for a new stained glass window featuring the Catholic Church’s recently canonized couple, Saints Louis and Zelie Martin. Every glass detail is under careful scrutiny as is needed before their permanent place in a leaded matrix. The window will be one of a set of two for long-time client, St. Isidore’s Church in Danville, CA
