Whimsical Winged Creatures in Stained Glass Restoration

The four evangelists are commonly depicted by symbolic animals in stained glass windows. Here are beautifully painted representations of St. John (eagle), St. Luke (bull), St. Mark (lion), and St. Matthew (angel) for windows that Bovard Studio restored for St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Earleville, Maryland.

Restoring the Beauty of Stained Glass

Bovard Studio helped restore several magnificent windows for Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama. The project involved both releading and the repairing of intricate wood frames.

Stained Glass Restoration in Ohio

Here are some of the amazing Connick windows that were re-leaded for full restoration. These were designed in 1954 and are from Christ Church in Glendale, OH. We also have a Tiffany window from the same church that we will restore. The intricate pieces of the glass color and hand-painted details are typical of Connick windows.

Preserving Another Stained Glass Legacy

Here are two of several re-leaded stained glass windows Bovard Studio fully restored for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida. We are proud to preserve the beautiful windows from this historical facility dating back to 1936.

Uncovering Stained Glass Splendor with New Protective Covering

The before and after photos at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE show how old window coverings can yellow over time, obscuring the brilliance of the stained glass. We installed our 1400 Series frames on 80 windows, transforming the quality of the exterior and interior experience of these beautiful windows. In addition, we built a new leaded stained glass rose window and frame to complement style of existing windows.

Historic Stained Glass Shines for Decades to Come

Bovard Studio restored the richly patterned stained glass windows at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston, SC. Our 3750 frame with custom cladding was custom made for their prominent window at the front of the cathedral. These historic windows display a range of American manufactured stained glass from 1912-1941. 30 gothic windows were restored, including several full re-leaded windows. Our 1430S Series protective coverings with patented Precision Flow® ventilation system will keep them shining for generations to come. More about the symbolism and narratives of these beautiful windows can be found at gracechurchcharleston.org/stained-glass.
