We make every effort to retain and repair original pieces to respect the integrity of the original stained glass window but our artists can recreate pieces if the damage cannot be repaired. Whimsical Stained Glass Restoration Transformation
Stained glass windows for Kountze Memorial continue their restoration transformation. Here is a beautiful panel featuring a winged Ox, a symbol of one of the Four Evangelists: Luke. The animal symbols of the Four Evangelists are referred to as the Tetramorph, which can be found in sacred texts and stained glass windows like these.

Surrogate Court House Restoration
Bovard Studio restored the art glass for the winner of the prestigious 2020 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award for our part in restoring the Surrogate Court House in Manhattan, NY. Bovard Studio fully restored the Beaux-Arts art glass lay lights, an important element to this National Historic Landmark and backdrop for a number of films and commercials. Bovard carefully selected glass replacements to match the texture and translucency of the original and executed a much-needed releading from water damage that began in the 1990s.
Restoration of Stunning Windows for Our Lady of Victory Church
The windows Bovard Studio restored for Our Lady of Victory Church are resplendent with detail, complete with nameplates and canopies. We performed full restorations of several of their Munich style stained glass as well as crafted new windows for their facility.
Transom Window Restored
Teddy and Jules work on the perimeter lead for a massive gothic transom stained glass window. This opalescent beauty is being fully restored for First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Liturgical Stained Glass Restoration for Moline
Look at the kaleidoscope of colors in this fully restored stained glass window Bovard Studio completed for Sacred Heart in Moline. Even the foliage pieces are comprised of at least four variations of green glass. Harmonizing a multitude of vibrant glass colors is no easy task, making this window and many others from this project exceptional in artistry.
