Louis Tiffany’s masterpiece, The Good Shepherd, was exhibited in the 1893 at the World Columbian Exhibition and contains some of the finest glass produced by his company. This window was purchased in 1896 by Judge D. N. Cooley’s family and was installed as a memorial to him and his wife at St. Luke’s Church. Bovard Studio was selected to restore this historic Tiffany in 2002.



Restoring Historical Stained Glass in Davenport

Although not as common household names as “Tiffany”, the work of skilled stained glass artists who learned their craft working for Louis Tiffany, incorporated his methods as glass plating, rose to prominence in the same era. Bovard Studio restored such windows for First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, IA, which demonstrates the elegant use of opalescent glass found in early twentieth century liturgical windows.

Look at the amazing details in these Munich Style German stained glass windows restored by Bovard Studio for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa Florida in 2006. Our talented artists also designed and created new figurative Munich style windows and new custom-designed aluminum frames to meet local hurricane code to hold the stained glass windows. Exterior glazing rated for Tampa’s local Hurricane Codes were installed to fit inside the historic ornate masonry window jambs.

New Windows Bring Light and Life to St. Bruno Catholic Church

New full figure stained glass windows meet their final destination at St. Bruno’s Catholic Church in San Bruno, CA. These tall, narrow windows were designed and crafted by Bovard Studio’s talented stained glass artists and craftspeople.  They portray a total of twelve saints with corresponding quotes all installed into new Bovard Studio US patented 4000 series vented frames with insulated laminated glass exterior glazing for earthquake codes.

Emulating Tiffany in Custom Designed Windows

This beautiful custom Bovard window for First Congregational in Kenosha, WI was carefully constructed to complement the existing Tiffany windows at this church. It utilizes specialty glass such as Drapery and Herringbone glass, and incorporates the multiple glass layering (plating) system developed by Tiffany and Co. Lead came was painstakingly customized in thickness and shape, true to the authentic technique. We fabricated and installed our 3750 series Thermal Barrier Aluminum Frame with Bovard patented Precision Flow®  ventilation system and Protective Covering.
