Louis Tiffany’s masterpiece, The Good Shepherd, was exhibited in the 1893 at the World Columbian Exhibition and contains some of the finest glass produced by his company. This window was purchased in 1896 by Judge D. N. Cooley’s family and was installed as a memorial to him and his wife at St. Luke’s Church. Bovard Studio was selected to restore this historic Tiffany in 2002.



Restoring Historical Stained Glass in Davenport

Although not as common household names as “Tiffany”, the work of skilled stained glass artists who learned their craft working for Louis Tiffany, incorporated his methods as glass plating, rose to prominence in the same era. Bovard Studio restored such windows for First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, IA, which demonstrates the elegant use of opalescent glass found in early twentieth century liturgical windows.
