Restoring Historical Stained Glass in Davenport

Although not as common household names as “Tiffany”, the work of skilled stained glass artists who learned their craft working for Louis Tiffany, incorporated his methods as glass plating, rose to prominence in the same era. Bovard Studio restored such windows for First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, IA, which demonstrates the elegant use of opalescent glass found in early twentieth century liturgical windows.

Tiffany Windows Reborn at Bovard Studio

Bovard Studio has a track record of restoring historical Tiffany windows, so it came naturally to create a window from scratch to emulate one of Tiffany’s angel windows. This window was custom-designed, built, and installed for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, VA.
