Our artists are hard at work painting pieces for a new stained glass window featuring the Catholic Church’s recently canonized couple, Saints Louis and Zelie Martin. Every glass detail is under careful scrutiny as is needed before their permanent place in a leaded matrix. The window will be one of a set of two for long-time client, St. Isidore’s Church in Danville, CA
Repairing Stained Glass Professionally
Our artists are skilled in replicating detailed painted stained glass: an essential part of restoring traditional stained glass windows. Look at this repaired stained glass face we completed for St. Mary in Centerville, IA. The highest compliment we can receive is that a window appears just the same as before damage once the installation is complete.

Restoring, Protecting, Illuminating: Window Preservation for St. Andrews
The grand rose window of St. Andrews in Roanoke, VA was obscured by rectangular mullions that interfered with the circular design of the window. Bovard studio replaced the frame and yellowing covering with a new protective covering that allows for the underlying window to shine through. With history dating back to 1902, our Studio’s careful attention to detail allows for this structure to be seen as it was originally intended. We completed general restoration work and protective covering with our US patented aluminum vented frames, designed for the preservation of stained glass windows, for all 61 stained glass windows.
Painting Stained Glass Medallions
A painted stained glass medallion starts with a delicate line painting and paint achieves more dimension after multiple firings of layered matte. Take a look at our process photos for a new custom window project featuring three windows with figurative medallion painting.
