St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in New Milford, NJ houses incredible stained glass windows that Bovard Studio had the pleasure of restoring. These windows feature a simple border and castle-work decoration, which is seen often in Munich style windows, bringing architectural framing into a narrative scene.
Suffolk, Virginia Stained Glass Restoration
Bovard Studio restored an impressive stained glass window framed by pipe organs for Main Street Methodist Church in Suffolk, Virginia. Several other windows were restored in this project, which features many heavily painted stained glass elements, resplendent with figurative detail.
Mary Medallion Window
Here is a close-up of a beautifully painted Mary medallion, which is part of a restoration project Bovard Studio completed for Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Boulder, CO. This example shows several pieces of stained, leaded glass, which allows for a rich variety of glass choice and structural integrity.
Crown Medallion Window
Bovard Studio used “cold paint” to treat a fragile area of painted stained glass on this crown medallion window. Notice the echoing of the crown motif in the diamond pattern on the rectangular panel. Another example of a uniquely crafted window that Bovard Studio takes pleasure in repairing at our studio. This panel was re-installed at St. John in Tallahassee, FL.
